Celebration: The theme of this year’s celebration is “Strengthening and Divulging the Quilombola Tradition”. The Quilombolas are residents of a quilombo, they are the descendants of Afro-Brazilian slaves who escaped from slave plantations that existed in Brazil until the end of slavery in 1888. The main goal of the event is to value local artists and strengthen local culture, fostering touristic flow.

Promotion: Crafters and Smallholder Farmers Association of the village of Prata, with the support of the Department of Economic, Scientific, Technological, Touristic and Cultural Development (Seden).

Partnership: Municipal Government of São Felix, Department of Labor and Social Work (Setas) and SEBRAE.
